Riva presents educational and motivational programs about diabetes. Topics include new strategies for managing diabetes, debunking diabetes myths and positive psychology to better manage diabetes. In 2009 she presented programs at the Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, PA and the Westport Senior Center in Westport, CT.
Riva also presents the A1c Champion programs, one-hour educational, motivational programs from the perspective of someone who is living successfully with diabetes. To date, 35,000 people have attended the 'Taking Control' and 'Understanding Insulin' programs.
